FAQs

What do the different training levels mean? What is mentoring? What is the definition of an apprenticeship?

We’ve put together a Glossary to help you understand the different terminology in training such as apprenticeships and mentoring, as well as information on accreditation and training levels. You can read it here.

Is there more guidance on adding to the Learning Directory?

To help you add a high quality listing, we have put together a guide document detailing more information about what to include

What if my organisation runs more than one course or offering?

Generate a single listing for the organisation, and detail the different offerings within the listing. Make sure you include a summary of the opportunities in the short description so it is obvious that there are several options.

My course only runs at certain times of the year – how do I add this?

If it is a recurring annual or regular event, we suggest keeping your listing general – describe the event but point people to your website or another location for specific upcoming dates.

I don’t want to publish my address – can I still add to the directory?

We have added a tick box for if you want to keep your address private. However this means you will not appear on the map, only in the listing, so you may want to consider adding your nearest town/village as the address if your offering is specific to an area (as opposed to online).

My images are too large to upload

We have to have an image size restriction, but it is easy to use an online image resizer such as this. Make sure your image is landscape in orientation and at least 850px wide to avoid pixelation.

I’m based outside the UK – can I add to the Learning Directory?

At the moment we are focusing on UK-based training and learning opportunities, so at the moment we are restricting listings to those on offer in the UK.

Do you have any upcoming events?

All of our events will be advertised through our newsletter, so make sure you sign up to be the first to hear about online and in person gatherings.
