Over three days, we will go on a deep dive into Forest Garden Design, Theory and Implementation.
Suitable for beginners and the experienced. Together we will look at the holistic context of what you are creating, explore the ecological theory and patterns behind it, look at the types of polycultures you can create and ways of designing and planting it, as well as lessons learned from what works well and what doesn’t.
You will have time to work on and discuss designs for your own sites and practice design in different settings. We will spend as much time as possible outside at Henbant to ground the learning in real-life situations.
Tomas Remiarz has been involved in creating and maintaining forest gardens across the UK and Europe for nearly 20 years. As a founder member of the Permaculture Association’s research advisory board he is particularly interested in studying polyculture. He has produced several reports on the subject and his book “Forest Gardening in Practice” has been translated into 5 languages.
