GroundSchool

GroundSchool is a learning centre for the food and farming community. GroundSchool aims to empower and enable those who wish to discover better ways to farm, flourish, grow and nourish.

GroundSchool is founded by John Cherry and Joanna Bowen, founders of Groundswell festival. It is based on Irongate Farm in Weston, Hertfordshire. One of Groundswell’s host farms, where regenerative practice has been applied for over 10 years.

Learning about regenerative practice will be through hands-on practical classes, on the land and in the kitchen, and by providing a community hub for sharing knowledge, inspiration and skills.

We are a coalition of the curious, working with multiple enterprises on the land and in the classroom so all participants in the courses will be able to share their ideas and experiences and become part of the movement.

We are currently offering short courses on the land whilst we await GroundSchool teaching building to be completed. We are constantly adding to our offering, including accredited courses.
