Cae Tan are a community supported agriculture (CSA) scheme based in South Wales. For the past 10 years we have been building local food resilience from the ground up.
We currently supply 130 local households year round with fresh veg from our 2 sites of 8 acres. We work with our membership and many local volunteers to create a socially and economically thriving biodiverse model of land based business.
Over the past 10 years we have hosted 20 trainees and supported many of them to establish their own enterprises. This has lead to Swansea becoming a hot spot for CSA within the UK.
We also work with local schools, colleges and the university to raise awareness of the need for future land workers and to inspire young people to consider this as a career.
Our online training runs from September/October each year until December. The aim is to give participants all of the necessary info to make the best choices as they tan ether first steps to establishing a CSA. We have a range of expert guest speakers who will be joining each session.
