Pilot scheme launched in 2025: a network connecting horticultural trainees in paid employment on an organic farm or market garden in the UK. The scheme runs UK wide.
The scheme offers events for trainees over the six-month UK growing season (April to October), based around the OGA Training Network syllabus. Seminars are delivered via in-person events, online and via farm walks, approximately every 4-6 weeks. The host farms will also be offering weekly 1-1 sessions looking at syllabus content. All trainees and apprentices in paid employment are welcome to join the scheme, even if they are already on another training scheme: the network aims to connect as many new entrants and growers as possible. Trainee employment can be part- or full-time, and permanent or just for the growing season.
