OrganicLea: Community Market Garden and Training Centre

OrganicLea are a Workers’ Cooperative who grow and distribute food locally, in East London, and inspire and support others to do the same.

At Hawkwood, our 12-acre market garden, plant nursery, distribution hub and training centre, we deliver City & Guilds Level 1 and Level 2 Horticulture courses, with an emphasis on organic food growing in a community/ small-scale commercial setting.

We also deliver unaccredited one-day courses on a range of land- based topics, and a host of informal training opportunities through our volunteer and traineeship programmes. Some of these are AQA-certificated.

We partner with Spiralseed to offer an annual Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) course. We are always looking for ways of broadening our learning offer, for example with new Level 2 and Level 3 Courses.
